Saint Beatus-Hohen Caves
Train Route from Lucerne to Interlaken
Thursday, Julie and Anthony take the train from Lucerne to the mountain town of Interlaken.

Julie and Anthony had lunch in Interlaken, near the Interlaken Ost train station. Anthony got claustrophobic because the area around the train station was crawling with tourists. Fortunately, the AirBnB was about a mile to the west, in the village of Unterseen, away from the fray.
Anthony and Julie are still following in the footsteps of Goethe.
Julie and Anthony took stroll around Unterseen, crossing the Aare river.
On Friday, Julie and Anthony walked back to Interlaken Ost and took the tram up to Harder Klum for the views into the valley.

Later the same day, Julie and Anthony took a boat ride around Lake Brienze.

The walk to the falls
Julie and Anthony walked back to the town of Lauterbrunen through the Lauterbrunen valley. It had cleared up a little, making the walk back very nice.

Then a miracle occurred! The clouds parted and we got a peek at Jungfrau Peak!
The day was suppose to be rainy, so Julie said let’s go to St. Beatus Caves. It was the sunniest day we had. Oh well, the caves were very nifty.

The town of Grindlewald was very picturesque, but it was rainy and cold. Julie and Anthony went to a crepes cafe and had lunch. There was a mexican bar just down the street, where we stopped to get margaritas. No margaritas, no mexican at all. Just the name. Julie was EXTREMELY disappointed!!
