Andermatt / San Moritz
28 July to 31 July 2025
Anthony and Julie in San Moritz, the Inn River in the background
Julie and Anthony left Interlaken on Monday, July 28 for Andermatt. Our original plan was to take the Glacier Express from Andermatt to Zermatt, but we had more time so we decided to get to San Moritz and take the Glacier Express the whole way back to Zermatt. But first we needed to get to Andermatt.
Anthony and Julie were on our way to Andermatt, via Visp. We got to Visp and got on the next train, luckily, realized it was going to Zermatt (the wrong way) before the next stop. We hopped off at Stalden station and headed back to Visp.
The station either at Visp or Stalden

Tuesday morning, Julie and Anthony headed out of Andermatt to San Moritz. The first stretch was up the hill overlooking Andermatt.
Did we get a shot of a Swiss Sasquatch????

Views of San Moritz
On Tuesday, Julie and Anthony went hiking on the ski slopes above San Moritz
On Wednesday, Julie and Anthony took the gondola up to the Piz Nair ski slopes in San Moritz. The Inn River in the background is the same one that runs through Innsbruck in Austria.
Julie being happy. Sun is shining, she’s got her sticks and most importantly!!! Not a ton of people!!!
The mountain summit overlooking San Moritz. We had lunch here, with stunning views.
You could take a funicular to and from the summit
